Terms of Service

VastuScore is an AI-powered platform that analyses architectural floor plans against classical Vastu Shastra principles and generates informational reports. The Service uses large language models (currently Anthropic's Claude) to interpret uploaded floor plans and produce analysis, scores, defect identification, and remedies.

The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Reports generated by VastuScore are not professional Vastu consultancy, architectural advice, structural engineering advice, or legal or financial advice of any kind. AI systems can and do make errors. Do not make construction, renovation, demolition, or investment decisions based solely on a VastuScore report.

You may use the Service only if you:

• Are at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• Provide accurate information when creating an account

By using the Service you represent and warrant that all of the above are true.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@vastuscore.ai if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may not share your account, sell access to it, or use it to provide services to third parties without our prior written consent. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to share (e.g. confidential architectural drawings owned by third parties)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service in an automated manner
• Circumvent rate limits, payment gates, or access controls
• Upload malicious files or content designed to interfere with the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Resell or sub-license access to the Service without written authorisation from us

We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without notice, for any material violation of this section.

You retain ownership of all floor plans, images, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant VastuScore a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, store, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you — including transmitting it to third-party AI and storage providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to upload Your Content
• Your Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
• Your Content does not contain classified, secret, or legally restricted information

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not use it for purposes beyond delivering the Service. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

Reports generated by VastuScore are produced by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Specifically:

• Room detection from floor plan images may be incomplete or incorrect
• Compass direction assignments may be inaccurate if the uploaded image is unclear or ambiguous
• Vastu verdicts, scores, and remedies reflect AI interpretation of classical texts and may differ from the opinion of a human Vastu practitioner
• Geospatial data used in the analysis is approximate

VastuScore reports are a starting point for exploration, not a definitive determination of Vastu compliance. Always consult a qualified human Vastu consultant, architect, or structural engineer before making material decisions about a property.

Certain features of the Service require purchasing scan credits. All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed by Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's terms.

Scan credits are non-refundable once used. If a scan fails due to a technical error on our end (e.g. the analysis never completes), we will restore the credit to your account. Contact us at support@vastuscore.ai within 7 days of the failed scan with your property ID and we will investigate.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect credits already purchased.

All aspects of the Service not comprising Your Content — including the website design, software, AI prompts, scoring methodology, algorithms, brand, and generated report structure — are owned by VastuScore or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property other than to use the Service as permitted herein.

The Vastu Shastra texts and principles referenced in reports are part of the ancient public domain corpus of knowledge. Our specific application, weighting methodology, and report structure remain our proprietary work.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY REPORT GENERATED BY THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VASTUSCORE AND ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, DIRECTORS, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR FINANCIAL LOSS — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE OR ANY REPORT GENERATED BY IT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VASTUSCORE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 1,000 (ONE THOUSAND RUPEES).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VastuScore and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@vastuscore.ai.

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Maharashtra, India.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@vastuscore.ai and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The updated Terms will also be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service before they take effect.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VastuScore regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.

Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
